Sun Shu’e visits Courtyard of the Happy Way and Weihsien Concentration Camp Museum

On the afternoon of September 9, Sun Shu 'e, deputy director of Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, visited the Courtyard of the Happy Way and Weihsien Concentration Camp Museum. Quan Wensong, party Secretary and Director of Weifang Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Su Lijun, Party member of Weifang Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and curator of the Courtyard of the Happy Way and Weihsien Concentration Camp Museum accompanied the visit.

Sun Shu’e visited the basic historical display of the Courtyard of the Happy Way, the special display of the Concentration Camp of Western Expatriates, and watched the publicity film of Weifang as an International Peace City and the historical documentary of Courtyard of the Happy Way.

During the visit, Sun Shu 'e, deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and his delegation had a detailed understanding of the development history, red Party history and cultural relics of the Courtyard of the Happy Way and the former site of the Concentration camp of Western Expatriates, and fully affirmed the achievements of the red culture construction and red education activities of the Museum.

After the visit, Sun Shue also reviewed the Protection Plan of the Former Site of Weihsien Concentration Camp of Western Expatriates, and required that the cultural relic protection plan should be combined with the overall goal of creating a 5A scenic spot in the future. The scenic spot creation and cultural relic protection should be taken into overall consideration, and the supporting service facilities and tourist routes should be planned together.
