The Courtyard of the Happy Way accelerates the collection of cultural relics

　　The leading group of the project-upgrading office of the Courtyard of the Happy Way & Site of Former Weihsien Concentration

　　Camp Museum held a meeting on February 4, Ma Qingmin, director of the office attended the meeting and made a speech.

　　The meeting pointed out that as an important carrier for promoting internationalism and humanitarianism, as well as a key platform for spreading the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, the Courtyard of the Happy Way & Site of Former Weihsien Concentration

　　Camp is an important historical and cultural resources with high tangible and intangible value. Very few of the western expatriates once detained in the camp are still alive today, and relevant historical materials, data and oral historical materials are in danger of being lost. Great efforts must be made to speed up the rescue protection and collection of related cultural relics.

　　According to the meeting, specific measures on the collection of cultural relics must be made to clarify the responsibility of personnel and posts as well as the task list, and the personnel, mechanism and funding should be strengthened to ensure that the results of cultural relics collection are timely summarized and reported.

　　The publicity of Weifang International Peace City should be strengthened. The overall planning of Weifang as an international peace city and the urban area of the Courtyard of the Happy Way should be accelerated. Measures for the protection and repair, security and fire prevention, and the exhibition of the museum should be applied and examined as soon as possible, so as to access special funds for the protection of cultural relics.
