Liberation, the Very Perfection of Goodness

At 9:30 am on June 30th, the “Liberation, the Very Perfection of Goodness: Special Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China”, was grandly opened in the hall on the first floor of Weifang Museum. The exhibition is organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, the Weifang Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism, the Institute of Party History of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee and Weifang Municipal Bureau of Veterans Affairs, and jointly undertaken by the Courtyard of the Happy Way and Weihsien Concentration Camp Museum, Weifang Museum, Weifang Martyrs Cemetery, and Quanwu Red Museum.

Li Chuanjiang, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, Quan Wensong, director of the Weifang Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism, Gao Peizhong, vice president of the Institute of Party History of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, members of the leadership team of Weifang Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism, heads of departments, leading individuals in charge of offices, and personnel above the middle level in units affiliated to the bureau attended the opening ceremony. Quan Wensong officiated the opening ceremony. Li Chuanjiang delivered a speech and announced the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition was successfully selected as the national “Excellent Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” project by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and National Cultural Heritage Administration this year. This is the first time that Weifang has an exhibition selected as an excellent one publicly promoted by the central Publicity Department, a groundbreaking breakthrough in the city’s history. This exhibition is a great gift for the centenary of the Party, and it also offers a red destination for citizens in Weifang to receive the education of Party history, revolutionary tradition, and patriotism. The exhibition consists of five chapters, taking the magnificent revolutionary history that has occurred on the land of Weifang in modern times as the main line, fully demonstrating the arduous struggle of the communists in Weifang in the years of revolutionary war.

In recent year, the Courtyard of the Happy Way and Weihsien Concentration Camp Museum has given full play to the function as a “National Demonstration Base of Patriotism Education”. In June this year, the museum was selected as one of the province’s 100 revolutionary venues and characteristic exhibitions and the province’s 100 bases for red educational tourism. The museum will continue to improve the exhibition and service quality, tell the red stories and Weifang stories, inherit the red gene, and make greater contributions to the city's high-quality development.
